Bedroom
Given that a bedroom is often the primary space for home life, it frequently serves multiple functions. I believe this room should be a dedicated space for relaxation, and thus my objective is to create a personal and organized space for rejuvenation. If clients find their bedroom falling short of these ideals, we will collaborate to identify the reasons and implement new arrangements. This could involve setting up a separate home office or addressing other needs. Bedrooms can offer efficient storage, particularly under beds and within furniture, serving a dual purpose to stow away extra items. I also organize bedrooms for children and guests. Among all areas, closets are my favorite to organize. An organized closet can significantly impact daily life since it’s the primary storage in a bedroom. Being able to view everything you own, rather than struggling with wrinkled and forgotten items, will make the world of a difference every time you get dressed. My closet goal is to reduce clutter, ensure easy visibility, and enable quick access. We will work together to establish a system for maintaining this organized setup.
Kitchen
Kitchens are the center of sustenance because feeding ourselves is an essential need and they should serve as a space where people feel nurtured and welcomed. I organize kitchens by converting them into a workable system specific to the clients’ kitchen functionality. Pantries and refrigerators are like closet spaces, except food expires unlike clothing. I teach my clients to always know what’s in their fridge and how to shop one step ahead. I aim to guide clients away from the habit of excessive purchasing and food wastage. This often happens due to a lack of understanding or effort in maintaining a well-organized fridge. Items tend to be pushed to the back and forgotten, while leftovers accumulate at the forefront. We will create systems that work to maintain cleanliness and functionality in the kitchen.
Living Room
Living rooms are often referred to as family rooms since this space is shared by every family member and serves as a place where they frequently gather together. Commonly, this room is where clients engage in activities like watch TV, enjoy music with friends, play video games, and more. Because there are all kinds of equipment, this room can easily get disorganized. These items should be easy to use, functional, and easily accessible. I organize living rooms and its various entertainment systems with the intention of balancing the combination of convenience and comfort. I offer alternate ways to provide additional storage or room definition, and map out any necessary furniture rearrangements if it will grant better access to items they use.
Dining Room
Dining room tables often take the beating from each member returning home and dropping their items on it at the end of every day. The dining room typically ends up housing items like mail, books, purses, briefcases, magazines, and homework projects. Eating together in an organized and attractive space can be a relaxing and happy experience, so categorizing these items and implementing a routine can provide homes with that ease and relaxation.
Laundry Room
Having the right set up and an organized and workable routine are the basics for making laundry rooms a place of efficiency rather than aggravation. I assist clients in identifying if their space isn’t meeting their needs and in devising a system to streamline the essential chore of laundry. This encompasses a schedule, existing equipment, recommended supplies, and designated spaces for sorting, folding, and drying, among other aspects.
Home Office
As more people are working from home today than ever before, many adults can benefit from an organized set up to achieve motivation, concentration, and productivity. I help clients identify and repurpose other areas of their home to set up an efficient home office related to their specific needs. This is a designated place to organize the “business of life” items such as bills, warranties, and certificates, and easily find them when necessary. We will sort and purge old records, work out new filing and storage systems, and create a convenient and pleasing layout. This will keep the everyday details in life from getting out of control. Once a home office is organized, efficiency goes up and stress goes down.
Garage
Garages, basements, and attics can act as functional long-term storage solutions that allow the rest of the house to run smoothly. These spaces can also be used creatively by getting transformed into living spaces, such as offices, playrooms, and TV rooms. I discuss with my clients their ultimate goals to better utilize these spaces in a variety of ways based on their needs. Some of these ways include purging, deciding what kind of organizing system they need, installing shelving and cabinet systems, and helping put everything back once the new organizational system is installed. My goal is to create long-lasting organizational systems where a refresh won’t be necessary for at least a couple of years.
